Company History
Founded by Jerry and Larry Back in 2000, SCS Construction Services, Inc. has established itself as one of Greater Cincinnati’s most prestigious providers of construction and tenant focused interior renovation services.
Today, SCS Construction Services provides full construction and renovation services to customers in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Headquartered in the Queensgate district of Cincinnati, SCS is strategically located to provide quick response service to customers in Louisville, Lexington, Dayton, Indianapolis, Columbus and other Midwest Regional Markets.
SCS acquired Eastern Hills Glass in 2010 to bring our stability and high quality approach to the glazing industry. We are customer driven and focused on growth within the industry.
Jerry Back – President
Capitalizing on more than five (5) decades of experience in the commercial construction industry, Jerry Back concentrates the company’s objectives on quality workmanship, unmatched attention-to-detail and a focus on customer service. His hands-on-approach to project management is a sure sign of the SCS commitment to clients.
Chris Back — Vice President
As a front line representative of SCS, Chris has become an integral part of the company’s customer focused approach. As the Lead Project Estimator and Project Manager, Chris has more than (2) decades of experience in construction services to ensure consistent, reliable cost projections on projects and ultimate customer satisfaction.
SCS utilizes state-of-the art technology in preparation for every project and at the actual job site. The EDGE software module and ComputerEase software both provide checks and balances to cost estimations, materials, and labor management.

Continuous training and refinement programs, and follow up efforts, are critical to the SCS commitment to you and your project.
All safety training programs and initiatives are paid for directly by SCS Construction Services, Inc. to reinforce the importance of safety, and the commitment of senior leadership.
Drug Free Safety Program (100% Pre-employment, 25% Random, Probable Cause, Post Accident)
OSHA 30 HR. TRAINING – goal of 100% training of all team members
Aerial Lift Training – all SCS Employees complete and renew Aerial Lift Training every 4 years.
Bloodborne Pathogens Training– all SCS Employees complete Bloodborne Pathogens Training
CPR/First Aid Training– all SCS Employees complete CPR and First Aid Training
Skid Steer Training, Forklift Training, Mini Excavator Training – (job specific)
Weekly Tool Box Talks-Conducted each Monday morning by SCS Foreman
Weekly Safety Inspections are conducted by Safety Alliance LLC
